From April 13 to 19, 2026, the 4th camp session of the Recovery program took place at our site in the village of Partyzanskyi Khutir.
Participants. 58 children from three regions — Ivano-Frankivsk (the village of Stebnyk), Chernivtsi (Chernivtsi), and Cherkasy region. Among them were children from frontline communities and those who lost one parent.
Week’s program. A standard 7-day cycle: morning group talks, art therapy, workshops, outdoor games, and evening reflection with a mentor. The team included 25+ adults: two psychologists, a medic, 6 mentors, and 15 instructors.
What was special. This was our first camp session in the updated format — we added an “evening of love and support” block, when children write letters to themselves — “for when things feel hard.” These letters are sealed and mailed a month later.
What happened with the children. As always — tense, irritable, closed off at first. By the third day — they begin to smile. By the fifth — they voluntarily talk about themselves in the group. By the seventh — they hug each other goodbye.
